Wedding Photography at Quantock Lakes in Somerset

I loved being the wedding photographer for this one. It was my first visit to the Somerset wedding venue Quantock Lakes. It’s been a project for the owners to build up over the years and I’m sure they can be proud. There’s a peaceful pontoon there (which you can get married on), and I adored using the oak tree for wedding photos. It even has a swing, how romantic!

Nestled besides the Quantock Hills, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, meant I could drive through the Hills on my way. The first landscape photo is taken there. Gotta love being a wedding photographer in the Westcountry!

There’s something truly hopeful about a young couple in love isn’t there? Well, for any age couple really. I love to see people find their partner for life, it makes the journey nicer. It was great to join these two, so so beautiful inside, such lovely people, fun to be with and so easy to photograph. The bride told me that the groom had planned to say something funny to her when he reached the end of the aisle, to ease the nerves!

We were lucky with the weather on their wedding day. There were lovely soft clouds and the lightest touch of misty rain, it made for gorgeous light and even a rainbow! It’s not often I see a rainbow on a wedding day as a wedding photographer!
