Here we go, a round up of my favourite wedding photos of 2019! Another year gone by, and lots of loved up couples are now Mr & Mrs, celebrating their first Christmas together as a married couple.
Thinking back over the year of wedding photography is quite a nice thing to do for me. Seeing them all in one post takes me down a sentimental road! I can appreciate the moments that I captured with a different frame of mind, one that isn’t looking at it from an editing perspective. I feel a sense of nostalgia which I think is in part felt due to winter being here now, I see summer in the photos and it makes me feel like it took place so long ago.
Indeed these wedding photos will at some point have been taken long ago, as my couples fondly look back on them and remember the day they started their married life together.
This year was full of luxury and life, with the amazing places I worked at. There were fireworks, helicopters, boho tipi tents, dogs, tearful moments with the Dad, holding back the tearful moments during speeches, the funny dance moves, rainbows, tree swings, some pretty epic night time shots, and possibly my favourite was photographing a couple upside down on a funfair ride! That image won 3 awards; Fearless, WedAward, and Best of the Year with My Wed!
I became a finalist again, 5 years running, with The Wedding Industry Awards, 1 Fearless Award, and it was brilliant to receive 7 awards for my photos from WedAward this year.
