Just the Two of us Weddings
This one was on the books for ages, with the crazy state of the world, and I knew from the start that it was going to be special. Being an elopement wedding photographer is probably one of the best jobs on this beautiful Earth. It’s full of all things I admire; meaningful connections, true and pure love, stunning surroundings, and, with all my weddings, I adore seeing people feel loved. What better feeling is there in our lives; to feel loved, to love back, and to express that. Feeling love makes us feel valued, worthy, special, and alive.
Photographing an elopement at Brickhouse Vineyard was perfect. The elopement venue in Devon offer micro wedding packages to those who just want to focus on you two or a small wedding, to just avoid the stress that can come from planning a big wedding.
Since my lovely couple booked, so much time had passed that they even had a baby! It was my pleasure to meet their adorable daughter. But the main thing I took away from this elopement wedding, Devon, the thing that blew me away, was their love. I mean, this was love like I’ve not witnessed before. Well, okay, maybe I have – in movies! It was so utterly raw and deep; they loved one anothers souls. This is what a micro wedding can bring; the time and space to focus on one another.
I joined them both in the morning where they were getting ready together. This was at The Folly, which is a cute cottage down the road from the Devon wedding venue Brickhouse Vineyard. I think one of the things I loved was that despite having just seen her a second ago, he was overwhelmed with emotion looking at her as she walked toward him down the aisle. It was like he’d just seen her in her wedding dress for the first time. Oh, it was beautiful.
