COASTAL WEDDING PHOTO SHOOT

I loved the sound of this one right from the start; an elopement wedding with a few friends, including a landscape shoot on the Jurassic coast of Dorset. The two of them wanted the wedding done their own way, following what was important to them, their own traditions. It was a pagan wedding, done outdoors in the garden of a cute cottage. The sun was out that day, it was the perfect summers day for wedding photography.

They included their traditional food, drink, and a beautiful woodland themed cake. During the ceremony, each friend came up and tied a ribbon on Gabi’s hand-made willow ring. I was so humbled when they also asked me, their wedding photographer, to do so too. What a privilege it is to be so involved in their day.

After the ceremony, the couple did a toast with traditional crackers and drink, and then we headed to the Jurassic coast to do wedding photography. We headed to West Bay, Dorset, near Lime Regis, and walked up the hill. We could see the dramatic cliffs and a long stretch of sand behind us.

I’ve been photographing weddings in Devon, and Somerset, for over 25 years. I specialise in elopements and micro weddings.
